Hi ghosties! It's about that time again. As we wrap up the latest app round, we've got a new intro & CR meme ready to go for you, plus a few updates from us!

UPCOMING

Some quick updates:

• The latest batch of NPC Quests are live! Thanks for your patience while we figure out the best way to make the quest system work for us. We've added a few more quests, plus a few tweaks to the overall structure: we now have a recommended number of characters listed for every quest (which isn't a hard limit, just a note from us on how many characters the quest was designed for), a handful of quests that may be completed multiple times by multiple characters, and a separate section for quests that aren't "assigned" by any NPC, but are rather stumbled upon by characters exploring the world. We hope this helps make the quests easier to interact with, and helps make sure everybody gets a crack at them!


• Tomorrow, March 9th, there will be a post on the network comm announcing the next Crossing theme. The Ferryman will not be available this time so feel free to use it as a mingle!


• Last but not least, thank you all for your patience the past few weeks! We know we've been a bit slow, but we're getting back into the swing of things and are excited to keep the ball rolling.

ETC?: The third book in Celehar's series comes out in like two days, be ready for that to be all I talk about for weeks

CHARACTER NAME: Thara Celehar
CANON & CANON POINT: The Goblin Emperor/Cemetaries of Amalo series! He's from an AU point where he dies in the second book after facing an undead monster thing.

PLANS: Right now? I'm looking at quest stuff! Celehar is lost for things to do, while waiting for the next toll - he's not quite as curious about the state of the afterlife as the others are, because right now he's a bit more fixated on the prospect of moving on, but he's willing to lend a hand to others in both talking about it and if the Ferryman says something can be done he's willing to take them up on it. Doing Lightning atm but happy to switch if someone would ICly approach him about a particular thing.

CR WISHES: Please start getting after him about his apparent acceptance of their circumstances! He's in a lot of denial about how okay he is with this, and he's started opening up a little to some folks about his past - I'd love to get on the topic of what things were like even more, to start driving in the cracks to his veneer of acceptance of his death.

Also for those who saw him lose it during the Crossing feel free to needle him about that, tbh.

CR OFFERS: Celehar has ended up as kind of the "Death Guy" so he's always willing to talk to people about what it means to be here but still dead, and to serve as a listening ear about the difficulties of that. He hasn't set up his shrine this time around, but he's here to provide a steadfast "Moving on is Good, Actually," point of view, or just a place for people to talk about their own difficulties with it.

Also, currently signed up for the Lightning quest! Which means going out into the desert and risking some of the dangers there. He can approach others to bring them in (or alternately they can tell him not to be stupid and go alone)
